Membership :
The membership of the Library is open to bonafide students, faculty members and support staffs of the
College. Online library membership forms are available on the library website.
Lending Services:
The book borrowing facility is available only for the bona fide students, faculty members and staff members
of the college.
Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC):
The catalogue of the library documents is available on the web (online) bearing URL- www.krccentrallibrary.in that can be accessed remotely over the internet.
Mobile Application:
The library launched its own android application which is available on Google Play Store under the title 'Kandi Raj College Library' developed by Mr. Himan Chowdhury, Librarian, Kandi Raj College in order to provide easy remote access to the library.
News Paper Clipping/ Current Awareness Services :
The Library provides such services in the form of displaying new arrivals list and newspaper clippings in
the Current Awareness Section of the Reading Room.
Reference and Referral Services :
There is an Information Desk in the Library to provide reference and referral services to the users.
Library Orientation Programme :
The Library conduct Library Orientation Programme for the newly admitted students to familiarize with the
Library and empower them in all walks of life to find, evaluate and use effectively the needed information to
achieve their educational goals in the context of the fast changing technologies and increasing complex array
of information resources.
Access to E-Resources :
Library provides access to e-resources through INFLIBNET-NLIST programme and National Digital library
of India (NDL).
Career Guidance Service :
Documents relating to different competitive examinations like W.B.C.S, PSC, SSC, and Career oriented programs and
other documents related to the subjects are available for consultation in the Reading Room.
Wi-Fi Facility :
The reading area of the library has been Wi-Fi enabled to provide wireless access to the Internet.
Best Library User Award :
‘Best Library User Award’ has been given annually to inspire students to make the efficient use of the library resources, services and facilities. One student selected from each of the science and humanities stream on the basis of the statistical data of visit to the library, reading aptitude of the student, proper utilization of the library resources, circulation history of the library documents, behavior & interaction with the library staffs, obeying the rules and regulations of the library.
Wall Magazine:
A Wall Magazine is published every year by the library under the title- ‘গ্রন্থনা’ (Granthana) to provide a platform to the patrons to express their creativity.
Referral service:
Users can get mobile number and email address of the College Librarians of Murshidabad district and the faculty members of Kandi Raj College from the directory module available on the website and android application of the library.
E-mail Alert Service:
Through E-mail Alert service, The users receive the details of every
transcation made in their account in the library, also the overdue reminders are being sent to the users through this services.
Reprography Service:
Reprography Service is provided in the library. A Photocopy machine has been installed in the Special Study Room. Patrons can get photocopy of the documents which are not for loan.
